    Sadly enough, they did. They even announced the reasons before the change of name back in 2009 and one of the main reasons was because people didn't know the meaning behind "SciFi" or what it stood for. It was mainly people who have never watched the channel or rarely ever watched it.

    I still love the channel, but man...16 years of "SciFi" to become something as dumb as "Syfy" was hurtful.

    I think the closest thing to a Zombie would be Rabies mixed with the Genes of Flu so it can spread more easily

    I could almost forgive the crap awful name if they stopped cancelling shows!

    I cringe when I hear about a new show on siffy, because I know that there is a strong chance I'll be left hanging because it didn't rate quick enough...
