I did like cats until we did the "Black Light Test".

All cats use the litter box to do their thing. All litter boxes have germs from the cat doing its thing.

When the sun goes down turn off all your lights in the kitchen so it is completely dark. Then turn on the "Black Light" You can see all the paw prints where the cat has been, probably right after the litter box. And the kitchen is the place where you prepare food.

Sorry no more cats for us! :)
    Something like this maybe...

Cats are independent hear better, have 10x the vocalizations and dont drool. A dog will come when called even if it is for punishment, a cat calls you.

Cats of course and they dont have to be walked in winter

Amazes me how some people {who indeed have fully functional legs} see walking anywhere as a chore rather than a life extending "exercise."

Have just returned from a 5.30am Saturday Winter walk.
The local cats were screeching & squawking as they fought or fornicated......hard to tell with fur balls.

Each to their own choices. A good dog anyday is the preferred pet here.

To live with numerous fur balls indicates a severe case of cabin fever - and possibly??? a good immune system.

Cold climates numb your brain, stunt your growth & drive you to furballs.

My brain intact, my growth hardly stunted, and I chose furballs. If a pet can stunt ones growth exactly how tall are you?
