Whats The Worst Windows OS Ever?

I always thought Windows 95 was bad, it did not hang around to much.... and had problems.. also I think ME.. But if you are asking what is there about it? Lets say Performance; Stability.

    But What's Your Professional Thoughts?

ME was the one I had the most trouble with. Vista was shaky at launch, but was more or less alright after SP1.

I can't say there is a worst OS, each one has it's merits and some people have problems with some aspects of certain ones but as each one comes out it learns from the mistakes of the previous ones and improves. I don't think you will ever get a perfect OS there are too many variables to take in account and all the different ways different people use their computers so I think you have to learn to live with what you have and make the best of it.

I've never had any problems with the ones I've used, 98, WinME, XP, Vista and now Windows 7 and I expect I'll carry on having fun and learning when the next OS makes an appearance.

My least preferred Microsoft OS that I have used would be Windows NT 4 Workstation. It was probably the least game friendly of the bunch. I was so happy when Windows 2000 arrived. I never used ME or Vista so I won't comment on those. I resisted going to XP but eventually caved in. It was probably the longest running OS on my PC's. I only just retired my last XP PC yesterday, everything is Windows 7 now.

To be honest, I have no problems at all with any of them.....they made computing accessible to me, and with each passing new version of Windows I find my knowledge is increasing exponentially, to the point where I can contribute and help out others here at this forum.

I wont name any of them as the 'worst', as they've all gone bad at some stage due my fiddling around with them.

But the OS with the worst 'fiddle : problems' ratio would be WinME.
