In answer to your receiving the skilled badge I cannot answer only guess that you helped someone and filled out your system specs. Congrats on the Skilled Badge. Continue to help others if you can.

If the admins see you helping, they can give you a badge early. Not sure, but congrats :)

i have not been a member for 5 days and i have recieved no rep points that i am aware of but it already displays me as skilled! is this a glitch or have done something right that i am unaware of?

For whatever reason, congratulations on the badge. To check your rep points, go to user CP at the top of the page. Congratulations.

thats just it, i have checked and cant see any so i can only assume that an admin has given me the badge early.

Congratulations toetag. I also remember earning the Skilled badge and how shocked and amazed it was there suddenly. Helping as much as you can will eventually earn higher badges and getting help from others or searching the forum for answers will increase your knowledge which in turn can be passed on to others.

well i must say that i am honerd to receive my first badge within 24 hours of membership i am now inspired to work my way up the ranks as it were lol. thanks to all for the input on my query.
