Reps and Badges are all neat stuff but time served in the Military is what really counts. I wish to recognize fellow armed forces who gave what it takes to keep us all free! It does not matter if you were in combat or not but to serve your country to protect freedom is what is important. Thanks for service!

Techymike,
Thanks for your remembrance of those who served.
That's where I met my wife who was a Operating Nurse in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. Son was in Desert Storm. It was just something we felt we had and wanted to do. So, thanks again.

Techymike, thank you for that.

I volunteered to serve my country in the Royal Navy and if I could live my life again, I would do exactly the same.

I had the privilege of hanging out with some US sailors who were on leave (I believe you call it furlough) in Hong Kong during the war in Vietnam and one of my proudest moments was being given a guided tour of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk.

Freedom is valuable, but it costs lives, and like yourself I recognise those who put themselves in harm's way because it is the right thing to do.
