    New computer (finally!)

    I'm finally going to lay my poor ol' system to rest by next week. My dad will be helping me order a new computer which in turn I have to do manual labor to pay off (wash cars, mow lawn, ect.).
    I plan to play GTAIV on it because I have a script sitting around for the Youtube series I wanted to make using GTAIV and it's motion capture abilities. And I would like to get the opinion of if the computers I selected should be able to run IV with absolutely no lag so the end result doesn't look like crap (lol).

    UPDATE: Which of these 2 is the better choice?
    I know one has 2 more cores of processor power, but will 2 extra cores make all the difference?

    If you have better recommendations for around the same price, that would be appreciated.

    While you will be better served with the Quad Core CPU, I have great hesitation about both those companies. In fact, I (and others) are convinced they are the same company.

    cyberpowerpc.com = ibuypower.com? - ResellerRatings Store Ratings

    When looking at PC's originally and looking at all the "boutique" builders, these guys are always the cheapest. BUT, I read far to many bad reviews and interesting comments from builders about how they could never match their prices unless the drastically cut corners where quality is concerned.

    That said, there are also people who swear by both companies. Check out their Resellerratings and BBB ratings.

    CyberpowerPC / cyberpowersystem.com - cyberpowerpc.com/ - Reviews, Ratings and Prices at ResellerRatings

    BBB

    BBB Business Review of Cyberpower, Inc. - Computer Dealers Retail - Baldwin Park, CA

    IBuyPower

    iBUYPOWER.COM - ibuypower.com - Reviews, Ratings and Prices at ResellerRatings

    BBB

    BBB Business Review of iBuyPower.com - Computer Dealers Retail - El Monte, CA

    They both come off very well. I myself skipped them, even though their complete PC's were cheaper then I could purchase the parts. Just FYI

    Tbh, I wouldn't go with either of them. The price is nice but a fancy case isn't everything. I know for a fact that you'll need a more powerfull pc for GTAIV + Fraps on full and you'll need to render it so you can upload it to youtube, you just can't upload raw footage on youtube(mainly because 10 minutes of footage is around 5 gig, wich will take you a week to upload). Plus, if I'm right those PC's have only 1 HDD, if you use fraps and record it to the same HDD to where you are running games on it will slow everything down dramatically.
    So, if I where you I'd do it right the first time, that might mean spending a little more but you'll have something worth your money.

    Things you will need;
    -a HDD for your OS and all that good stuff and a HDD for the gameplay footage
    -6-8(atleast) ram for smooth rendering
    -a better graphic card
    -a good upload speed for youtube

    If you are going to record stuff on full(with fraps) and run the game smoothly you'll def. need 2 hard disks. Example a main one with around 500gig-1tb of space and a hard disk for your recording, around 2TB, not a external HDD.

    Not as much as having more RAM. 8GB should suffice.
