Its good to see people with so much skill and knowledge that only time prevents them from getting the Badges.
Is that a subtle way of saying you're really a guru?
    lol no....

I know I will reach guru when I reach it. I like feeling appreciated and enjoy reading the rep comments more than getting points. I am not worried about it.

I was saying people (like Product Fred) are giving out so much help that people are repping them and the only thing that prevents them from getting the badge is the time limit. So they will get to guru (points wise) before the time limit allows. I can see this.

I am not a "guru" yet. I am skilled, I am an expert, I am a power user, I am an Admin (not of this site, but still) I am a networker. I am the help desk, I am the support, I am all of these things, but I get more satisfaction from people saying thanks than getting to a number of points so I can get a badge.

I just like solving problems and learning more about computers. I am able to do both on this site.

Thumbs up for you, pal Thorsen. I also share this mentality , but a bit differently. I like learning more about computers and helping friends at my best to get their problems fixed, or needs fulfilled . When a pal says thanks to me, it satisfies me more.

The best thing in the forum that here everybody is helpful and just ready to help you, just say what's your problem. Perhaps it is the atmosphere that you can't have in any other place . So I think what is to do here is "learn and let learn" or "help and get helped" or something like this. So it is that what we all are doing.

Yes, it's much more fulfilling to read the thanks than to reach a badge. :)

If we had done this, I will go swap out the 10 dollar bill in my pocket for Arizona quarters.
