No, nobody repped one of my posts. I had 68 points this morning, and all of a sudden, I got 100. In my CP, nothing has changed.

Just curious, I have seen this rep thing on another forum I visit. Can someone please tell me the benefits of rep, how to earn it and stuff.

Rep is given by the other members of the forum to signify good advice or other help provided

Badges are earned based of rep, number of posts and time on the forum, so badges give an indication of the value of a particular users advice even if you have no knowledge of the member

There a no real Benefits to Rep or badges although they do allow access to certain invite only forums.

of course the real benefit of badges is to give members recognition of the work they do here

The button to give rep is the scales icon on the top right of each post

It is not available in non help threads such as chillout and news which is why you cannot see it here.
