    The problem I've always found with hangover cures is that they have an effectiveness that is inversely proportional to your need - the bigger the hangover the less they work

    Yeah, that's what I've found as well...especially this whole "water" thing. Bloody Mary's seem to work pretty well though.

    I've always found that the only sure fire cure ,or more precisely hangover prevention, is to never actually sober up enough for the hangover to begin.

    Not totally practical but effective

    But seriously, guys. We Finns know the cure: heat up the sauna and I mean a real sauna and the real heat, 110-120 grades Celsius (about 230-245 Fahrenheit). 15 minutes in sauna, evenly throwing steam, then cold and hot showers, a light beer, a few minutes fresh air and back to sauna.

    Repeat the sequel as many times as needed, change the light beer from third round on to soda water.

    Works.
