actually I was looking specifically at the lower right corner of the hole in the first image
it really does look like someone dropped a layer in there.

Agree'd.
Something doesnt quite sit right with me on this either...
Also, notice the underground piping in the second picture. They seem odd, and are inconsistant with the first image.

Im not a rock scientist, but that doesn't look like pumice in any of its forms.

Both the images are from different angles. The piping is outside the building with the red terrace and red walls in both the pictures. Its just that the buildings are in different places in both the images.
