Dustbin day is on Thursdays, alternating green/black bins. After a Bank Holiday, should be temporarily Friday, reverting to Thursday the following week.

Oh, you mean the Computer recycle bin? Whenever I get round to it.

Mine gets done every Monday morning during my maintenance routine, not a lot gets sent to it anyway.

Must be a boiler fault day around here, ran water early afternoon and it wasn't very hot, thought hubby had drained it. No worries the boiler comes back on at 4.30 pm so I'll have a tank of hot water again. It got to 5 pm and the boiler hadn't turned on, the timer control showed it was working and you could hear the workings in the airing cupboard going but the boiler just wouldn't fire up.

I tried a couple of new fuses in the switch, in case the fuse had blown but no luck. Phoned the landlord, who were going away for the weekend, explained and he said he's get in touch with the boiler maintenance man, he let me know that he would phone me back to sort out a time to call. He phoned me about 9.20 pm and instructed me about the trip button inside the boiler casing which was lit up and on pressing hay presto the boiler fired up

I hadn't known about that trip button but it sure saved the man having to make a trip out, mind you it's nearly time for the annual service call so we'll see how things go and find out what needs replacing then.
