The Decline of Help on this Site

Ok I have to speak my mind now, I have posted numerous questions on this site with legitimate issues and I have gotten no help at all not one reply, If I were capable of solving the issues myself I would not post The questions, I realize you are all volunteers and have issues of your own to deal with, but why do my questions among others I am sure, go unanswered? Is it we are not important to this site? or just an issue of not feeling like getting into it! Either way it is important that we rectify the situation at least give a simple response such as I dunno, or sorry cant help ya, we signed up we spend our time hoping for a response by one or 2 supposed experts, we are the ones still waiting, I am not alone I peruse all the posts and there hundreds of questions un-answered or ignored, So i ask is it too much to ask for some help, for us the faithful?

I truely am sorry you think that the help on this site has declined. As far as you posting numerous questions and not one reply, you have had exactly one thread with no reply and perhaps it was because you didn't take the time or make the effort to fill in your system specs, or post a more informative question You and I are the same here and yes users are important. I have posted over 1400 posts and mine have not been fixed or acknowledged. its a free site that tries to help, not gold customer support at Microsoft.

Again Im sorry you feel neglected

I personally stop answering questions after I've answered it for three people.

I'm always scanning threads, so I see the same issues being posted over and over again, things that would pop right up after you do a search.

Also, you're on build 7100, alot of issues from that build don't pertain any longer in the later builds.

    Sorry you feel that way

With the ever increasing number of people using Windows 7 there will no doubt be issues that need addressing so more & more threads get created which means that unfortunately some get missed. I have tried to 'back-track' a few pages of all sections to assist where I can but there can be just too many

I will admit that if I don't know the answer I don't see that I need to post to say it. However, there are still a lot of posts that go unanswered, not just yours.

Lastly, with all the 'leak' madness there has been a lot of action in just few threads dealing with leaks. This has left parts of the forum dormant but that will pick up as we all settle down into what is Windows 7 RTM.

Update: You have only 1 thread that has not been answered and 2 threads addressing 100% CPU usage. I suggest that you keep your issues grouped so as not to cause confusion. And to write that speech about 1 thread is a little bit extreme dont ya think?

I'll usually answer any question that I come upon...even if I have answered it before. If it's complicated, I just link back to the post where I answered it before.

A couple of reasons why I may NOT respond though
1). I was at work when I viewed it, didn't have time to formulate a response and forgot about it.
2). I simply don't know the answer and have nothing valuable to add to the conversation. I'm not the type who cares about post count, so I won't add a little meaningless "sorry dude, that stinks" to a message about a problem.

    Resolved according to you.

    Resolved according to you.

You did not bother responding to help provided.

You seem to have abandoned this one.

Who can understand this one anyway?

I offer my assistance, in detail, where I have subject matter expertise. I offer my insights where I think I can help guide the team to a resolution.

I do not respond to threads when I simply do not know. I will watch some of those threads if I find a common interest in the solution, and will pop in if I see someone making a fundamental error.

You have a responsibility to represent yourself professionally. "Jeez" is simply not worth responding to. I saw that one and considered helping you, but your post was childlike in its presentation. I concluded, fairly or not, that my time was best used elsewhere.

I enjoy this forum and I like helping people. In real life, my time bills out between $75 and $300 an hour, depending on the task at hand. Here, you get it for free. Represent yourself as if you deserve it.

It seems a lot of your problems can be hardware/driver specific. You really need to fill out your system specs. As far as the sound issue, earlier builds have been known to have problems which have since been corrected. If you insist on using rc7100 you may want to try changing Hz rate ie: 44000 to 48000 or vice versa. Also change bit ie: 16bit to 24bit vice versa and see what works.I know it fixed a sound issue for me back in the day's of 7100.

I replied to that one for him on that thread. I don't have personal experience from it, but a good friend of mine had a very similar issue.
