My kids say I'm the worst typist ever! I've been computing for nearly 30 years but still tend to watch the keys as I type. I've always told my kids that I don't get paid for typing fast, I get paid for knowing what to type and when they reach that point then they can criticize my typing.

do you rarely use the keyboard?
I have used my computer regularly for nearly 3-5 years, and I don't even tend to watch the keyboard, and i less often make mistakes

Yes I was just going to comment that we'd already had a thread for this, I didn't bother taking it again and can't remember what my score was before but I touch type, not that well as it's been too many years since I was in college trying out audio typing.

I'm on the computer around 10 hours a day pretty much everyday. Just have short, stubby, uncoordinated fingers I guess!

I did the Tiger Test, and did 78WPM with 3 word errors, for an accuracy of 96%, with an adjusted speed of 75wpm. This was from my desktop computer with an ergo keyboard.

On my laptop, on the Tiger test, I got 72wpm with 1 word error for an accuracy of 98%, with an adjusted speed of 71wpm.

Unable to type after a few words
I've noticed that when I am typing anything in the Search window in Google Chrome, all of a sudden nothing happens or everything stops. I can't type anymore and my blinking cursor is gone. In order to get it back and functioning, I have to click on the mouse each time it stops. At the same time,...

No words
I recently took apart my Samsung laptop because the power jack was broken. I realized that it needs to be soldered off and then solder a new one on. Since I did not have the materials and I did not want to forget how to put the laptop back together, I put it together now instead of waiting for the...

Hi guys, I just registered for this awesome forum. I'd just like to complement the design. I think this is one of the best looking forums I've ever been on! It's clean, nice, and makes me feel as if I am not on line but rather still just being in another part of Windows 7 :sarc:. Keep up...
