any gardeners here?

a friend of mine gave me some plants last winter to stick in my garden - he didn't know what they were called.

well, they're in flower now - anybody here know what they are?

thanks pebbles, but it doesn't look much like scabious to me.

my petals are long and thin, and the foliage looks different too.

doing some googling myself, the closest seems to be:

but the leaves don't look the same.

Any other Gardeners here?
Thought it might be interesting to share a little bit about what we do and what not. I also have a question about bell peppers. Last year some of the bell peppers had soft spot, from what I looked into this is due to a lack of calcium in the soil. Well, everything that didn't make it went back...
