Windows 7: "Gooey", or "G-U-I"?

GIF = Jiff
JPG/JPEG = Jay Pee Gee/Jay Pee Ee Gee
SATA = Sa (Like in Saturday) Ta (Like in Today)

yep thats how i grew up saying them...
except for GUI, i just say Gooey (that is actually how most PC books say it..)

GUI = G-U-I (the alternative makes me feel all gooey, but not nicely gooey)
SATA = sarter (like barter, with long southern english 'a')
gif = i always call them gifs, but i know it should be jiff
SQL = SQL (i hate the alternative!)
SCSI = scuzzy (i love that word)
JPG = jay peg

others:

png = ping
vista = vista (short 'i' - but i've heard a lot of people say 'veesta' - as in 'hasta la...")
IDE = I D E (but i have heard ide, as in 'lied')
pdf file = michael jackson

Although its spelled giraffe you pronounce it jiraffe, so you actually call it a jiff then?

Ah! Excellent clarification.

I usually refer to the language as S-Q-L too, as in Transact S-Q-L. Most of my work is done with mentioning the server, though, as in 'Sea-quill' (or "Sequal") server.

Yes, I will second that. Although I have asked people before, "did you perform a sequel query and if so, what was the result. However, if I was giving a person something to use within query analyzer, I would say, S Q L select....
