    Don't forget: PCMCIA = Pee-See-Em-See-Eye-Aye!

    Oh, and another controversial one back in the BBS days was the pronunciation of "Sysop." At first I always said SIE-sop (with a long 'I'), but then more and more people suggested SISS-op. Makes sense, I suppose, because after all it was a system operator.

    And yes, I usually do pronounce GUI as "Gooey."

    Yeah, I can imagine system operators didn't like to be called Sigh Sop. Kind of makes them sound like an Ed Grimley type dude. :) Playing the triangle is tougher than it looks don't you know!
