    A Shy Visitor

Smudge was trying to work out what this was, he was trying to dig his way back underground but not having much luck as it's mostly rubble under this grass in my back garden.

Oh no she didn't she just watched it wondering what it was, hubby picked it up and put it down in another part of the garden where it had already been digging and it disappeared down a hole.

Yes it is, it's caused havoc around my place but this is the first time we've actually seen it, the cat just sat there watching it she wasn't interested in trying to grab it.

The one and only time my dog Jill ever caught anything it was a mole. A couple years ago her late brother Jack was frantically digging a hole while she watched. All of a sudden she pounced and came up with this little mole. It squeaked, Jill freaked out and dropped it, then the mole bagged-ass back to his underground lair.

Squirrels, rabbits, birds, ducks, geese, cats, deer, other dogs, racoons, snakes, frogs, chipmunks - she's chased them all. One lousy mole to show for it, and she drops it.

I don't know if Sooty would have actually made a grab for it, I think he would, but Smudge just looked at it, we have to watch her as we've had her catch field mice and bring them in then drop them and of course they go running off usually under or at the back of something we can't get at.
