    Wed 4pm Update

    Wed 4pm update.
Forecast is about the same but this little statement has me a little concerned. Excuse the CAPS that's the way it copied.

"THE OFFICIAL FORECAST STILL ASSUMES THAT THE WESTERN ATLANTIC TROUGH WILL DEEPEN SUFFICIENTLY TO TURN THE CYCLONE NORTHWESTWARD AND NORTHWARD. HOWEVER...IF THE NORTHWARD TURN DOES NOT BEGIN SOON...THE THREAT TO THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES WILL INCREASE."

Some models have it dying out over Hispaniola and Cuba due to their mountains but others have it reforming after it passes.

    Thur 4pm Update

Well Emily has fallen apart due to the mountains. BUT the now low pressure system will drift into open water and may regenerate. Should know something in a day or two.

Emily has some new life. It has 30mph winds but should head out to sea with minimum strengthening.

Looks like Emily is history. Shear and dry air has killed her.
