    Server as a PC


    I just found an epic eBay auction. With very little time left my chances of winning are quite good. Its an Intel 5000 series chipset motherboard with 8 RAM slots and two quad core Xeon CPUs... for $30. Now I've been getting nice deals a lot on eBay, but nothing like this... I am debating on what I would do with 8 cores of processing power though... Also not sure if this will fit in any of the cases I currently have...

    Did you pass on it? It's a good deal, but unless you had a use - it would go to waste. Dual socket server boards are wasted on 'everyday' tasks/usage.
