    Carl sorry for you loss.

That’s a touching letter to Mae Lyne. I can see from that she was your soul mate. As long as you remember her she’ll never be gone and will always be there to watch over you.

I know it’s hard right now but keep the good times you two had close by and that should lift your spirits and hopefully bring a smile to you face. From your letter she would want you to do just that.

    Take care.

Carl I can feel your pain and sorrow. Some of the coming days and nights may be difficult, but God gave you the will to see them through. Eventually these hard times will be replaced with the happy, silly, and fun times with Mae Lyne.
If you have anger, guilt, or crying embrace them all, it is part of the healing process. Mae Lyne is and will be with you buddy.

Carl, I am glad you stopped in. I was very sad when I first happened upon this thread, because we've all seen what she meant to you when you were dealing with her illness a while back....and I knew you must be devastated.

This may sound strange, but after reading that beautiful letter to Mae Lyne, and seeing the pictures of you together, I find myself envying you, because of those wonderful years you had with your wife....I've never found that kind of bond with anyone, so far. I'm terribly sorry that this had to happen, but I'm also so happy for you that you had that time with her.

I'd better stop now, before I find a way to put my foot in my mouth, if I already haven't.........but I'll be thinking of you and I wish you the best.:)

Again, I thank you all for caring and for your love and compassion. I hope to be able to thank you each individually. The cards were lovely and I appreciate them. I was having a dismal day until I came to this thread. You have lifted my spirits and the sun has broken through. Thank you for taking your time to post.

    A special word for Randy:

Randy, those are beautiful words. I consider those ten wonderful years the best in my life. The pain I am feeling now is a small price to pay for the blessings and joy Mae Lyne brought me. As one of my PGR friends put it "I could have done without the pain - but I would have had to miss the dance." That sums it up quite well for me.

I will work through this; but there is no short cut. The road is long.

Again, thank you all for caring. You are giving me comfort far more than you will ever know.

The road will be long, but every journey starts with a single step.

Nothing we can say can bring back Mae Lyne, but I'm sure the memories of your time together will give you the strength to carry on.

We are all born and we all die, but the important thing is what we do with the life that God gave us. Carl, you and Mae Lyne packed an awful lot in during those ten precious years so treasure them and draw strength from them.

Carl, I realize there is nothing any of us can do to make the pain go away, it is something you have to work through for yourself. But just know that we are here for you. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that if there is anything you need or want, just let us know.
