I think people really need to cool off about Windows 8.

I just thought of something I read back in December of last year with 8 and the new user interface. Of course, desktop users hate the tablet interface, but Microsoft has said that a new interfaced code-named Wind, will and might replace both 32 and 64 bit versions of Aero. I went and found the article and it said that the Wind interface will be fully 3D and will adapt to the user's habits. How? I don't have a clue. But at the time, it needed 170 megs of video RAM and can only work on 64 bit systems. Microsoft might get that to work on both architectures. I think they will considering they got Windows 8 to render HD video on an ARM processor and can resize the window without framerate drops, or at least considerable ones.

I can't wait to see if this Wind interface is the new Aero...

Well I was just watching their little demo video of it.

The fact of the matter here is Microsoft is just pushing a concept they came up with years ago, and it seemed just as ridiculous to me then as it does now.

This interface is ridiculous. So, I can finger flick from application to application to find the ONE that I want to use. So, if I have 10 things running, I could have to flick past 10 things to get to it. There's a nice feature to increase the amount of time to do anything.

And am I on the only one who finds that using touch screens and such is just cumbersome? Seriously, I'd much rather scroll around with my mouse. Having to move my hands between a keyboard, and then touching a screen and going back to the keyboard is just going to be annoying from an ergo perspective.
