Does anyone have a link that describes the new features that are supposed to be in windows 8?

This site has quite a bit about the Windows 8 development. I wouldn't full say that some of the features will make it in the end, but since Microsoft has said themselves that they're regarding Windows 8 as the most riskiest product release, I'd expect some great things!

My switching to Windows 8 may differ as time moves along.

I'll wait about a year after it's release and check to see if it's another Windows Vista, if it performs very well, I'll consider upgrading.

My decision will also depend on if it has functions I need, if I don't need anything, then I'm staying in 7.

On that same page there's a link that says Windows 8 won't include Dolby Technologies. Does that mean HD is going away? Or is this another Micro$oft take-away aimed at the bottom line?

Dolby Technology not included in Windows 8 | Windows 8 Beta

Most likely that means that DVD drive support may or may not be limited, at least for tablets that is.

Or they might go to a different provider for the technology...I wouldn't worry much about that.

I doubt 8 will go the route of vista. Internal sources from Microsoft have said that many of their employees have installed Windows 8 as their primary system because it's that good and they're enjoying it, unlike vista...
