My internet plan is $6 (INR 300) for 15GB.
Besides, I have 2 PrePay mobile phones which I top up of about 500 Indian Rupees every month.
Canadian broadband socks as some of you might know.
30Mbits down, 2Mbits up. 120GB bandwith cap/month (Download+upload) (i.e. NOT unlimited - after 120GB, it's 1.50$ per extra GB, no limit of extra billing).
All that for 75$, taxes included.
The last I looked there are no plans at present, I live in a coastal rural area and we've only had broadband at all the last few years and the local exchange is totally BT so even if I went with someone else they'd have to rent the service from BT to sell it to me so at least if I'm with BT to start with it's quicker and easier to get things fixed if they go wrong.
There's no chance of fibre coming our way in the foreseeable future, blimey we can't even get natural gas piped to us.

Similar problem here.
One company.
No wireless.
No cell phone service.
$50/mo. for phone line ADSL 3 Meg as they call it. Which actual testing is avg. 2.67Mbs down and 0.67Mbs up.
$75/mo. for 5 Meg.
All they had the first two years was 56K dial up (50.6K actual)- $30.
Then add $45 for basic phone with that per month.
$95 with taxes and no long distance calls- those are extra.
Being in the country every call is long distance except my brother in law.
I have the Verizon DSL package, 7 mbps down, 3.1 mbps up. The package price includes unlimited phone calls in the USA. $79.95 per month, I think the net fee is $45 or close to that. Unlimited access with no caps....so far (knock on wood)
