My internet plan is $6 (INR 300) for 15GB.
Besides, I have 2 PrePay mobile phones which I top up of about 500 Indian Rupees every month.
    Hi Dinesh,

Which is your ISP??I have MTNL connection and pay around 12 $ (around 649 INR) but my speed is really bad close to 0.6 Mb/s though its unlimited download and upload.
Hi, my ISP is our local cable TV operator. I also have a cable TV connection with him for Rs. 200 and internet connection for Rs. 300. I have noticed that in Mumbai, the local cable TV operator gives good speed at low cost as compared to those broadband operators like Tata or Reliance. Check with your local cable TV provider for internet package.

The last I looked there are no plans at present, I live in a coastal rural area and we've only had broadband at all the last few years and the local exchange is totally BT
if ur in a rural area u may struggle then, and the salt will corode your lines.

so even if I went with someone else they'd have to rent the service from BT to sell it to me so at least if I'm with BT to start with it's quicker and easier to get things fixed if they go wrong.

There's no chance of fibre coming our way in the foreseeable future, blimey we can't even get natural gas piped to us.
also thats not true ur SLA will be the same as BT.

also u say "totally BT" i take it u mean no LLU services in ur area.

That's right Rich, no one else has equipment in the exchanges but BT. We only got Broadband when we did because there's an MOD depot down the road so I think they pushed for it to be delivered. I've no idea when it will go to 21 CN or ADSL+2 so at present they sell you Up to 8 MB so of course my 3.8, on a good day is good and I'm getting what they sell.

I Did have a virgin subscription for 3 services until today, phone, tv and broadband(30mb) for £50. Cancelled the tv and phone line today as they never get used and bumped my broadband up to 100mb for £40, so saves a tenner whilst more than doubling speed.
