    Yes I am not going to be over clocking I just simply want a better performance in game, I currently play Star Wars the old republic but only get 30fps and I would like to upgrade my ram to something a lot higher and my processor to receive the proper amount of ingame fps

    Then I would definitely look at the i5-2500 or if you can spare a little cash, the i7-2600.

    When it comes to RAM, you shouldn't need any more than 8GB if you're only gaming. That way, you can also get a higher frequency. I would recommend 1600Mhz or higher if possible, but 1600Mhz should really be sufficient.
