Three FREE Online Computer Science Classes from Stanford University

Quote:
Stanford Engineering professors are offering three of the University's most popular computer science courses online for free.

The three courses, Machine Learning, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, and Introduction to Databases start October 10, 2011 and go through December.
Registration is expected to start in September.
While online classes offer enormous learning opportunities and other benefits, college credits or a college degree aren't included. :)

More than 58,000 people have shown an interest in the artificial intelligence course alone.
Online students are expected to read the course materials, complete assignments, take quizzes and complete exams. Students can plan on approximately 12 hours a week of study for the Artificial Intelligence class, with similar requirements for the other classes.

Are computer gamers less likely to go to university?
Not what pre-college gamers probably want to hear but the results of this study don't surprise me. Is it a bad thing not to go to college? As I recall Gates was a college drop-out. Interesting list.
