My brother printed out the diagram but he forgot to bring them by.
He did mention that there is a in body relay center (somewhere inside the cabin) with mulitple relays. the diagram doesn't state the location though.

That's okay, the manual that I ordered is supposed to have location information. Of course, I'm not certain about how precise that it is. From what I have been able to find, the relays is behind/below either the center console, or a panel between it and the dash. I suspect the latter, but when I looked for a means to remove the console, which would be necessary to access the other panel, I found nothing. The console is semi-loose, because the front of it feels that nothing is holding it, but what ever is holding it in the rear is somewhat loose, because the console will slide ~ 1/2" back and forth. The only thing that I can think of is that it merely snaps into place, but I'm reluctant to go tugging on it, because the last thing that I need is another plastic repair to be necessary.

I checked around earlier, looking for materials to repair the bumper cover, and hopefully an interior door panel, and found this:

How to repair plastic bumper covers.

But considering the amount of work and cost of tools and materials, I think I would be just as well off buying a used cover from the salvage or maybe Craig's List, if I got lucky.

If I thought there was much of a chance that anyone could answer this question, I would have posted a new thread, but I still need to ask and hope. I'm still trying to figure out how to best deal with the problems associated with the Body Control Module on my Blazer, and after looking at the manual, it appears that the module must be reprogrammed, either as a troubleshooting step or after replacement of the module or possibly other components in the system. Looking at the required tools for this procedure in the manual, it looks as though most could be done using other generic tools, but there is a scanner/programmer called a 7000081 Tech 2 Kit listed, which cost ~$3200 from GM. Obviously, neither I nor most owners could afford such a tool.

I called AutoZone to see if they had a generic tool that could do the job, but they really didn't know what I was talking about. I then called O'Reilly's, and was pointed to another store of their's here in town, where the programming could be done cheaply. However, after talking to that location on the phone, I'm not convince that they would be able to help either, because what they would program is something called an ECU, which apparently is the main computer in the vehicle, which would have to be removed and brought to their location.

I just got off the phone with a local Chevy dealer's service dept. and learned learned the cost of having a diagnostic performed ($98), which isn't too bad, but the service rep thought that it was very likely that the BCM would have to be replaced, and if so, it would cost another $250-$300 for the module, which is a bit much, especially since I have a number of other expensive repairs being needed. I can't use a used module, because I was told that once the VIN is programmed into a module, that it is there forever.

With the cost factor, it appears that my only choice at the moment is to either forget about that repair for the time being, or hope that someone might know of a cheaper shortcut to solve the problem. I would mind postphoning the repair, except that currently I can lock the tailgate. However, that might be due to an additional problem besides the BCM, because the lock will not turn, nor the button depress, even using the key.

As I said, I doubt that anyone can offer a precise usable answer to the problem, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
