Computers In 10 Years?
What do you think will be the spec of them and the looks?
The computers used by NASA to send the man to moon in 1969 had inferior specs as compared to a current day smartphone... It's technology, it cannot be stopped.
I'm thinking that technology may develop rapidly this decade as in the last, in 10 years we will be voice commanding our puters, like in Star Trek!
10 years is a very long time for computers.
Think about what hardware we had available in 1995, and Windows 95.
Then just over 10 years later, almost 11, what hardware was available. Windows Vista was also out at this time, so the OS itself had matured a great deal as well.
And from then till now.
In another 10 years, we may actually start seeing true AI become a reality in our home PCs.
Hard to imagine how much computing power we will have.
For what its worth, I seen something on the Science Channel the other day and according to them, they predict:
Modern CPUs have the computing power equivalent to the brain of a lizard.
In 10-20 years, CPUs will be able to match or exceed the computing power of the human brain.
I don't know about you, but if I could literally use a lizard's brain to convert video, I'd do it in a heartbeat!
Open the pod bay doors, HAL :)
32 - 64 cores, petabyte hard drives. Yeah ... I'm pre-ordering mine today! :)
Folks haven't you read that PC's will be gone in just a few years. They will be replaced with something the screen is to small to see and a tooth pick is needed to press the keys. They will be called a cell something.
