Looks good but if you have a little more cash ($55) I would go with this Hard Drive.

Thanks Jim, but right now I am trying to replace a few things to keep it under 1,000 dollars preferably with tax and shipping included but 100 dollars over is not an issue but I need help finding just as good parts for a little cheaper, like maybe tone down to a 600watt powersupply, downsize the monitor or cpu, graphics card ect you know what I mean?

You can do the Antec 300 case without the blue LED fans and save yourself $15. And don't do a 5900RPM "green" drive for your operating system. Keep that at 7,200 RPM or higher.

You may want to try this add-on for your browser. It gives you other prices on a product and also some alternate products. I tried some of your choices and it does work for Canada. The keyboard was only $71 at CaBuy.com with free shipping.

Is the figure you quoted just for the build, what about the operating system does that have to come in the price or will that be on top of the build ?

As well as the above stated move to a 7200rpm spinner with at least 32cache and 64cache better. I wold also factor in better cooling over stock unless your Brother will keep good housekeeping inside his new rig and plans to do no overclocking.

So I crunched some numbers, and built this for him instead, tell me what you guys think of it, and Joan, It totally slipped my mind about the Operating system but I believe I added it to this build, he is going to buy the monitor later and I have a 100 dollar keyboard and mouse bundle laying around I am giving to him to save him the money on buying a keyboard and mouse.

I built out this very case, it's very nice if a little thin but please factor in at least 2-3 120mm fans. One mandatory for the front and at least one exhausting out the top and this is where a H series Corsair would work killer.

Yes I thought it was a decent case myself, never have done a build out of it, just the NZXT Hush and the Rosewill challenger, which I didn't like all that much,

Is there anything you would change on this build?
