    Apple Gone Wild?

As if I needed another reason to despise Apple as a company:

Police assisted Apple in search of man's home - CNN.com

    1) Why are Apple employees bringing these phones to bars to "lose"?

    2) Why are Apple investigators doing the searching? And why are they questioning someone's citizenship?

    3) This is grounds for a very big lawsuit that I'm sure Apple will quietly settle.

    4) This is Facism.

the more ilearn about apple's business practices the less ilike of apple

The company will turn an even uglier corner once Jobs is out of the picture...consumers will eat up their marketing while continue getting screwed

    Absolutely appalling behaviour.

What happened to innocent until proved guilty?

I hope Apple get sued - big time.

fact: when apple test hardware, they run diagnostic software to test all aspects (signal clarity, battery life, etc...) and to do this, they test it in real world situations, otherwise when you take your new fangled device to a bar ad you lose signal, guys and gals moan about it and apple need to re-design the hardware from the ground up, also, the software isn't preloaded with iOS so as soon as you plug the device into iTunes, it will load iOS and register the new device with your apple ID, seeing as you HAVE to put your home address when you create your apple ID, the innocent to proven guilty theory is out the window as you've activated a device that's not even in production.

    Guilty until proven innocent unfortunately.

So rather than discreetly testing these prototypes in public areas - they send out idiots to get drunk and lose them - probably bragging about having it in their possession as well, putting it out for all to see...

honestly - the authorities should tell Apple - tough luck if you're going to be so reckless with testing this "invaluable" product you pay the price.

I would guess the family they raided also view their privacy as "invaluable".

I think everybody (including the media) is making a much bigger deal out of this than is necessary. Who cares?

    What in the hell?

This is either the single greatest publicity scam, or Apple, apparently, likes to impersonate people who are above (and capable of commanding) the law.

    What?
