Maybe no free coffee, but the coffee continues to flow hot, light and sweet.

I'm not going to say that NOTHING will happen. It is quite possible that something significant might happen on that date. However if it does, it will just be a coincidence and not be a foreseen outcome of any prophesy, but the end of the Earth shall not be among the possible coincidences. It should be kept in mind that there are worse things than death.

    Hopalong X,

...and no more coffee for Seekermeister!
While I admit that would be no fun, it wouldn't fall in line with my intent, because not drinking coffee would probably mean not smoking either, and I know from past experience that would definitely be difficult, yet the end result would be good. However, both coffee and tobacco are going to remain in my regimen for a long time, despite any denigrating remarks anyone may have about it.

The aspect of the "horror" of death depends on the outcome of it, and that will vary significantly from one person to another. Yet, even those with the worst fate will prefer their destiny, at least at first. Later, they may wish for a death of a more absolute kind.

It is said that it is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all. I can't speak to the former, since I have never been married, and I don't think that I have ever been in love, although I uncertain about that, one way or the other.

While I know that marriages often turn out badly, I doubt that any of them were initiated without finding some benefits in them.

I understood that you were joking, it is just that sometimes any remarks, joking or otherwise, cause my mind to wander, and my tongue tends to go along for the ride.
