    The Hobbit

Talk about a letdown from the LOTR.
Sure, it was ok. I read the book way back in High School.
The movie though suffers from the same thing that pretty much every movie has suffered from over the last ~10 years.
Way too much "prettiness", not enough pure story, and it looks like it was thrown together in pieces, flashbacks and dialogue.
It looks way too "graphically enhanced". Some of the story is taken away by the Alice in Wonderland looking characters and colors.
The dwarves look like cartoon characters, the orcs look like crap. I don't know why I thought I might like the movie.
The LOTR trilogy was great, but this is a big letdown, even with some of the original cast, it sill didn't help.
No doubt because they greedily are making it into a trilogy and there just wasn't enough story for it.

The Alamo remake. Good movie, a good remake for a change.

    Do TV Series count?
    Sherlock Series 1&2 (BBC)
    6 90min episodes from memory
    Terrific 9/10
The movie version don't compare IMO.

Yes, "Sherlock" really is excellent. I look at the movies as a completely different entity.....entertaining in their own right, but not as good.

    Oblivion

    7/10

Would of been a 5/10 but Jaime Lannister was in it and that bumped the score up for me.

    Piranha DD

Seriously cheesy, oodles of fully fledged naked women and made me cringe but funny in parts.
