    a thoroughly morbid film, built around a preposterous notion..
    this scene is memorable because Edward G. Robinson had recently
    informed Charlton Heston that he was, in reality, dying of cancer..

    - Heston's tears are the genuine tears of a long-time friend..
    - Edward G. Robinson died 12 days later..

    great special effects..
    lots of crash-boom-bang as the hero saves the day..
    the cast do well with a thin script, but the action is the thing..

    - blimey, I was worn out by the end..!!
