    where did my thread go?

this is a thread to get attention from the admins for the forum.
I posted about unlocking admin with no admin access because of a mistake I made.
Upon resolving the issue today I find that the thread seems to be missing. Obviously it was removed but i'm not really sure why.
Did i violate a rule or something or is it just because the thread answers pose security issues if used for malicious reasons?
Nobody's said anything to me... i'm just kind of curious.
    Thanks,

Hello Spezticle, and welcome to Seven Forums..

I'm sorry, but your thread was removed due to others turning your thread into nothing but one long argument beyond cleanup that would still make sense afterwards. You did absolutely nothing wrong, and I'm sorry that your post had to be ruined like this because others couldn't control themselves.

If you would still like to, please feel free to create a new thread for your issue. Hopefully we will still be able to help you without the interference from those at fault now.

    Thanks. :)
My problem was resolved from suggestions within that thread before it was removed. I stopped by today to see that thread to offer thanks and report the success.

That's great news Spezticle. I'm happy to hear that you were able to get your problem sorted in despite of what happened in your thread.

Just a suggestion, but seeing as spezticle, the OP, actually was helped and had his problem resolved by the removed thread, in spite of the arguments between other posters --- would it have been possible to remove the offending posts rather than the whole thread?

The thread has been cleaned up, and restored to the link below. About 95% of it was removed, but it should hopefully still make sense now.

How do I unlock admin with no admin access
