    Assistance in identifying music genre

    Greetings everyone, I give up, I cannot find the genre of this type of music.
    Absurd, right? Perhaps there's someone here more knowledgeable in music.

    First track;

    Second track;

    I'd have a guess at New Age for both of them.

    Sounds like the sort of music associated with Jean Michel Jarre

    Possibly Ambient music

    If it's a list of genre's you want:

    Live365 Internet Radio Network - Listen to Free Music, Online Radio

    You should be able to listen to samples from any genre you think fits the bill.

    The first track is cinematic orchestrial and the second one is new age electronica, as dwarf said, it's very similar to JMJ especially if you listen to oxygene all the way through, sounds like it.

    They are referred to as Rock, Fusion, Progressive. I see Fusion a lot. Basically means, uncategorized. Reminds me some of Deep Forrest, or Enigma. A Guy

    First track is definitely "classic" new age...reminds me of Yanni a lot.

    Second track (woot - I'm a huge fan of CBL actually)...progressive ambient electronica, with emphasis on ambient. Some also call this space music or chillout. Hope this helps

    Anyone ever listen to 76'14" (album) from Global Communication? All the tracks are named after their playing times...I still get chills listening to 14'31" and 12'18". (Is it sad I actually know the tracks/their names? LOL)

    Thank you all for your responses, I'll look over this in greater detail. This helps a lot, I really want to give rep.

    Also, you're correct on Progressive Ambient Electronica on the Carbon Based Lifeforms style of music, thanks for that.
