Seriously, I noticed some of Shawn's (Brink's) posts on the MS Vista Newsgroups and decided to follow his link to these Forums (or, as it was back then, just vistax64).

I'd seen articles on the MS website about Windows 7 build 7000 and when searching for a particular issue (i now can't remember when/what it was). 1 of the first entries was sevenforums so I clicked & started having a look around and within minutes, signed up.

Been here ever since, although not recently due to other activity

I don't think so. You came in a little bit after I did in the same month here at SF, and I made it in a little after 500 members.
You can get the member number you signed up here as, go to "User CP" and at the top left click "Your Profile" the link in the title bar at the top will give you the number you signed up as.

Searched for a problem cure in google and of course seven forums was the only site that actually had an answer.

Yeah, he must have just implemented that in the last few days, I know he had it for TEF.

User 566, so I was right. A little after 500.

I downloaded Win7 Beta, then went looking for any tips and tricks ... I found several Win7 forums, but I liked Shawn's most informative tutorials, so I stayed

One of my friends and a dorm room mate told me I ought to share my computer knowledge online instead of "walk-ins": he would find mostly extremely hot and not-so-computer-literate college girls that would play tennis with my Wii while I fixed thier computer (there is nothing dirty about that last sentence...I swear). I started "shopping" for a forum and found this one...it was finally a post by Jeff that convinced me to stay...I knew the exact solution to an OP's problem but I didn't bother to post how to fix it. Jeff came along and painstakingly kept at it until the problem was solved. I decided I would never let that happen again

BTW Did I mention I am a mean tennis player on the Wii...maybe that is why some of the clients would come back and hang out

    Back OT.

I can't remember why or how, but I first bumped into Vista Forums in the first part of February 08 after I got Vista for the first time and the rest is history.
