    windows 7 icon border for xp


    Can anyone tell me how to get the windows 7 icon border on windows xp? I have looked all over the web.

    Welcome to the forum! Could you be more specific? Are you running Windows XP-VM? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "icon border".

    The border that appears around smaller icons when using a size larger than the default?

    Not sure you can - XP cant scale desktop icons.

    Any chance of a screenshot of the 'border'? Could save guessing what you are after exactly.

    I am running windows xp sp3 32 bit. On windows 7 and vista when you mouse over an icon, a white/blue border appears around it.

    That's not a function under XP. If you left click an icon, it will highlight but there has never been a mouse-over highlight in XP.
