good deal, amazing chip. I just got one from newegg recently and sadly it had a very high VID. but other than that I love newegg. Get a Q9650 if you can tho. they are amazing.

Just bought this for myself two days ago. Got the E0 stepping, although I do not immediately plan to do any 'clocking.

I have to say though, its amazing what it has done for my Windows 7. All round feels just so snappy, its a pleasure.

The only difference between a Q9550 and a Q9650 is 2.83ghz to 3.06ghz. This is pretty much a gimme overclock on a Q9550.

I too recently purchased a Q9550 for my box about a month ago, and it's running at 3.2Ghz (400 x 8) in a GA-EP45-UD3R mobo on stock cooling and it's perfectly happy. I'm quite pleased I went with this chip....the 12MB of L2 cache is nice.

Yes, I've been very pleased with mine, though I paid way more than this for it the first of the year.

Most likely going to upgrade to a 9550 around the time of my birthday to treat myself in October. Though depending on the prices at the time, I might push for a 9650, but the price drops in the 9550 atm is tempting.
