For now, you could also use the paperclip icon to upload and attach with when using the Go Advanced section.

Sorry Brink that is what started this thread.

The Manage Attachments tool won't let me reuse files that I have already used previously.
It gives an "invalid URL" message.

I can upload pictures from my PC with no problems.
It just seemed silly to repeatedly upload the same file, over and over again, when it must already exist and be associated with my user account.
For an existing posted image, you could use the BB code below to do this with. To get the image URL, you can right click on the image, click on Properties, and copy the URL.

    For example, from my album:

    What a cute baby.
I also have had success by simply right clicking an image form the forum or from, say, Google, coppy then in the message editor here, paste.

I can post pictures from my album (although they aren't appropriate for forum help topics).
A couple of helpful boxes appear with the info in them ("Picture URL" and "BB Code").

I have reused pictures using the method you describe.

I meant pictures that are listed in the "Attachments" section of your user account (User CP > Miscellaneous > Attachments).

The "Insert Image" button not being present is what has caused my confusion.
If Britton30 hadn't pointed that out, I wouldn't have realised that it was missing.

The "invalid URL" message in the "Manage Attachment" tool didn't help either.

It seems like it's a FF 8.0a problem.

The "Insert Image" button appears, when I use (virtual) Ubuntu 10.04 and FF 7.0.1.

It could be another skin issue. Try what you are doing with different forum skins. Also the copy/paste method.

    <<<copy/pasted from your post.

    Thanks Guys

Sorry I didn't realise that you were suggesting manually inserting the URL.

    That seems to work.

    It Gets Weirder

The "Insert Image" button has now mysteriously reappeared in the "Go Advanced" section.

    Weird.
