Ethanol is a tree huger gimmick. It take more energy to make ethanol than it saves when you use it. Very annoying. Most is made from corn therefore raising the price of corn and food. Most live stock eat corn so the price of beef, pork ect. goes up. Also very annoying. Now I went from annoyed to pissed.

Archie, you are definitely not worthless my friend! I'd slap you for saying that if I could reach you.
As Greg said you are often in threads and give very good advices and help. You are a good help beyond yout GFX skills, and you are quite helpful there too.

As of late, the thing that really chaps my butt, is when you have a post written by a novice that asks for advice...the advice is given (spot on advice) and yet it's not followed. Then the OP asks the same question(s) again and the same answer is given and yet again not followed through with.

    OK, I feel better now....

Not really. Oil is a finite source whether the Earth has 20 or 100 years' supply, it will be depleted at some point. I agree on the corn issue tho, and it can be made more efficiently from switch grass which can produce up to 3 crops per year opposed to corn's one. Of course Big Oil wants nothing to do with ethanol. The Saudi oil barons still need their 20 bathroom castles and siler-plated Rolls Royces.

This is the chronic issue which has spawned a handful of these vent threads.

You can spend quality time giving them all of the steps and some will ignore them or whine that they are too hard without bothering to ask a single question.

It was theorized early on that this is because we are dealing with late adopters who aren't as interested in learning about an exciting new OS, just getting an easy fix.

Some also feel they can just ignore any help which they deem too hard or don't understand. The inability to ask questions tells me they don't want to learn, or don't know how.

It is so chronic it infects about half of the help threads. It has taught me more patience than I thought I had, but even then it is so frustrating I have just asked a second OP if he reads for comprehension.
