Having got all that off my chest, I'm going to take my wife somewhere really expensive now - the local petrol station will do for a start!!
The above is "a good one", but it also brings me to a question. I remember in the 1960's, European gas was about double of US gas. I hope that is still not the case with our $3.25 /gallon price. What does European petrol go for these days?
I can tell only what it is here in Germany, some neighboring countries and back in my native Finland.

(Country, regular, super, diesel. Prices in Euro per liter, one liter is about 0.265 US gallon.)

    Germany, 1.56, 1.63, 1.51
    Switzerland, 1.32, 1.34, 1.36
    The Czech Republic, 1.28, 1.42, 1.30
    Finland, 1.33, 1.50, 1.49

Multiply price per liter with 3.785 to get a price per US gallon.

Diesel, that has always been cheaper than gasoline is now costing even more than regular in most of the European countries.

I like you Hopalong do wonder why simple request to the OP have to be so hard to get done. I have mentions to OP to run MAM and 30 post later about 4 or 5 days later the OP post problem solved. I ran MAM and it found and removed a bunch of virus. If they won't do the basics that are requested of them how can we help? I have inquired on one of my pet peeves, no System Specs and was told something like; if we make it mandatory in order to post people quiet joining.

Think we all are forgetting that we Volunteered to help. If the OP chooses not to listen or apply our recommendation then we just move on..... It is what it is....Volunteer work! If the OP had to pay for it and ignore our help it is his nickel. How would we react if we got paid for helping? Just something to ponder over. eh?

There have been numerous times we all have helped without even a response back that it worked or a thank you.
Just move one....life is too short to reach through the internet line and choke the OP.

My Hat goes off to Greg, Panais, Jonathon, Rich, a few others that go beyond the call and get resolve.
They are a breed apart from us.

So my parting thought is....If you volunteer to help then do so with the thought that there might not be any
reward at the end except a self gratification. By the looks of all the pip and medals that have been awarded this last year the volunteer system works.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I agree with those sentiments entirely.

The thanks we get from those we help far outweigh those who just walk away when the thread has been resolved.

And don't forget, every time we get a result we are adding to our knowledge of Windows 7 and surely that's what this forum is about?

It isn't about filling in specs except if you need them to assist them. Helpful yes.

Specifics requested are a must to solve the problem then they should be provided or they really don't want help.

I won't beg them for info to fix their problem.

Whenever I hold the door open for someone and they don't acknowledge the courtesy,

I make sure that I get their attention and tell them thank you.
