Without bothering to find links to the technical details of Startup Repair, I'll just say that this is the Chillout Room, where anyone with an internet connection can access.
I certainly am aware of this. I cannot speak for others.
When I comment I like to use the analytical part of the brain not the old (emotional) brain. I think I have done so.

There is a passion behind the dissension. It shows a level of commitment laudable on both parts. That anyone would become testy with another due to real or perceived slights only magnifies the level of that commitment. One can only hope that there would be a vent, and then no lingering animosity. A Guy

You get used to the long hours and not knowing if they are fixed or not.
I think I'm used to the long hours. Just need to vent from time to time.

Voluntary work at any Forum is just that.
We CHOOSE to do what we do.

I understand we all have separate lives from the forums, especially since this is volunteer work, which is why I was not angry with anyone. I think more than anything, I was surprised. In the nearly four months I've been on here, that was probably the longest I've seen the crashes and debugging forum void of other Gurus. To be honest, I was starting to worry something had happened to one or more of the regulars.

Another reason to use Startup Repair to move the System boot files is that it rewrites the link to Winre onto F8 Advanced Boot Options so that the System Recovery Options are or remain onboard.

Experience shows that running bootrec to move the boot files, or even EasyBCD from within Windows, does not accomplish this and that the hotlink is broken.

The fact that gmail doesn't have a preview feature for emails to be sent, at least on my machine.

That I have picked up a cold from a customer who was happy to have me come fix their TV, because "we are home sick anyway". Yeah, thanks! A Guy

Water on flames puts the fire out. I'm a bit damp and moving into the sun to dry out - move on indeed.
