    Need a 512mb or 1gb (184-pin) RAM stick

Hey SF, I'm in need of a RAM stick that will work for a Dell Dimension 2400.

Anyone know where I could get a cheap stick? Or anyone have one they could part with? Prefer 1gb but beggers can't be choosers.

Currently the DD2400 only has 256mb of RAM. :S

    Thanks,
    Steve

P.S. Sorry if it made little sense or was a little messy, its 2:48am and I haven't slept in a few days. =P

I was looking for something cheap, did I forget to mention that? Oh I already looked on newegg too. :S

After I savage what I can from my friends broken PC (I believe it had the same RAM, or atleast the pins would match) I'll try the other link that Johngalt posted.

The problem with cheap is the older RAM's relative rarity. Try CraigsList for the lowest price.

Thanks, A friend of mine found some 1gb's on ebay for $22ish (with shipping).

Think I'll max out the thing with a whopping 2gb. :) lol

be careful on that route. i looked on ebay about a week ago. most of "their" products/stores seem really undesireable. it does suck though, that 'old' parts cost more than newer ones. cheapest i found on newegg was a pair of (thats 2 0f) 1gig sticks for ~$40 after $20 MiR.

im just weary of ebay. i know a few people who've gotten the shaft on there.

-edit- scratch that. the MiR offer is over. g*d-f**kin-d**nit. i was gonna ... ah never mind
