Questioning advice of a salesman
Howdy, I recently purchased and installed a UPS. I was told by the salesman that I should put a Surge Suppressor before the power to the UPS, thus Surge Protecting it. Does this idea have any validity. Looking for all opinions. I am also running a thread on line noise trips to the UPS...

What is the funniest (or almost the funniest post) you have ever seen on this forum? I attach a screenshot of one, I thought was funny :D EDIT: Sorry the attachment is so bad. I'm on a school PC running XP and i had to use paint to make the screenshot.
