Just an interesting note.. While this guy's hard work earned him to get a Lambo look-alike, a work of art to be truly proud of, this guy gets a REAL one (wins it) but decides to crash it within 6 hours. People. Sigh,,,

The moral of the story: Don't take a high-powered vehicle out in icy conditions, unless it's a (WSV) Winter Service Vehicle.
I think that the real moral of the story is not to buy or win a new car on a day when the weather is bad...the elation clouds the judgment. I didn't read anything regarding the amount of damage done to the vehicle, but since he had insurance, that should offset that factor. Then again, I would imagine that his insurance rate went up, even with his old vehicle.
On the damage:
"Dopp told The Associated Press the damage "isn't super bad" — a punctured oil pan and wheel and a few dents and scratches on the front and rear ends. The father of six said he couldn't afford to pay taxes on the car or the insurance, which runs $3,500 every six months. "
He's fortunate it's not worse. 640 hp is more power than most can handle in dry conditions let alone those he was driving in. As you say, elation, only on steroids.
