What's happened to my Australian TV shows?
There are three shows from Australia that I like to watch via the internet, but now only one remains.
My favorite, Spicks and Specks, has ended its run. Although the last series resembled a chat show more than a quiz, it was still a lot of fun. Couldn't wait each week to see who would be on and what they would say. Even though I liked Adam Hills in his talk show (Adam Hills in Gordon St. Tonight) I think that another quiz show would be great.
Next, we have Good News Week. They changed format from a quiz show (very much like the UK's Have I Got News For You) and became a topical sketch show. Just doesn't have the same vibe or unpredictability of the old show.
And last but not least, we have Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation. According to Wikipedia it's been picked up for another series, hopefully without any format changes.
As for US TV, bleah. The only shows I watch on a regular basis are The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and the Big Bang Theory, and Big Bang is getting dangerously close to jumping the shark.
OK, rant over.
Oh, and as for the UK, well done. Carry on.
