It seems that it can't decide whether to be Spring or Summer here. It got down to 12 degrees last night, and when I just looked out the patio door, lo and behold, it has snowed a little bit. Only enough to turn the grass and autos white, but the forecast shows the next few days looking like a roller coaster. I was beginning to hope that I could forget about Winter this year, since it is almost the ides of February, but will have to wait to see what happens.

I guess it might be a bit boring dwelling on the weather in a location where most of you don't live, but it is the only weather that I have, and the patterns have kind of interested me. Today the snow is gone, but the fog has rolled in. They are calling it 1/4 mile, but I would estimate it at half that distance. Gloomy enough that it reminds me of movies shot in the Moors.

Back up to 71 degrees, and it is supposed to rise a couple more degrees before sun down. It is getting on toward true Spring, but since that is still about a month from now, I guess this qualifies as another Indian Summer day.

71, that's great. It'll be interesting to see what March brings. I'll take this weather, any day!

In one sense, this would have been a very bad Winter for the pioneers, because Indian Summer was the times when the Indians were were most likely to attack...hence it's name.
