I don't get the point in them.
I downloaded something recently I was wondering why someone would make it in a file type which you need certain software to use - not to mention that the software you need to pay for.
So once I downloaded it I had to convert it to iso then use it.
I just get annoyed and I don't see why people can't use the universal .iso.

Exactly. You have to pay to use a .daa without converting it.
Unless; does anyone know of any free application which can use .daa without having to convert it and fiddle around.

Poweriso even though you have to pay but if you don't it gets the job done no matter what.

mm. What I would really like is an image burner which can burn .daa, but I don't want software which I have to pay for.
I don't see why people make it in .iso instead; it's like they are trying to force you into spending money.
