Corning Displays Thinner Gorilla Glass at CES 2012

Manufacturers trying to build slimmer electronic devices are at the mercy of component makers, whose parts they have to build around. Corning is doing its part and unveiled its next generation Gorilla Glass 2 at the Consumer Electronics Show this week. Gorilla Glass 2 is up to 20 percent thinner than before, yet equally tough and resistant to scratches, Corning claims.

i'm a huge fan of black glass/full glass but its a bit TOO clear/transparent for me. is there any way to darken/blur, the transparency? i've tried playing around with the window color option, but it makes little to no difference.

How to make side placed taskbar thinner?
maybe another dumb question from me... When the taskbar is placed at the top or bottom, it's possible to make it very slim, using small icons, however, when the taskbar is placed on the left or right I cannot get it to behave the same way. Any ideas?
