You are too good to me.

BTW everybody - Tews made a good thing happen today. He went above and beyond to help a fellow SF member acquire a 64-bit install DVD. The recipient does not have a quality ISP or usage plan. Tews caught a glimpse of the problem and solved it.

Outstanding!
Nice, Tews!
I would like to read the whole thread. Link?

Shut down computer, remove all power sources, hold down power button
Why does shutting down the computer, removing the AC Adapter, removing the battery (if it is a laptop), and holding down the power button for 30 seconds fix problems in one's computer. I was recently corrected in a post of mine that this does not actually do anything unless one removes the 3 volt...

Acer Aspire 5742 no power from dc jack, replaced it, still no power
I replaced the DC jack on an Acer today with a new one. When the laptop has the battery in the power LED shows a power source(unfortunately the battery is dead).
